The Davis Family: Emma's New Boyfriend

This past weekend was so much fun with our friends in town. Our best friends, Vall from Phoenix, and Phil and Aimee with their new baby Benjamin from Milwaukee, flew in to spend a long weekend with us. We didn't do much except relax, play cornhole (an outdoor bean bag toss game), watch March Madness, and go out to eat a couple times. As always, it is a great time when we all get together, and the time always flies by too fast. Whenever we get together we inevitably try to think of any possible way that we could all live in the same town one day in the future.

Emma really enjoyed getting to know Benjamin better and loved having another baby in the house to play with. They did have a bit of trouble being awake at the same time as it seemed they were on exact opposite nap schedules. She really likes Benjamin, and aside from his sometime vinegar smelling feet (haha) he may be boyfriend material in the future.

Emma loved playing outside in the grass this weekend since the weather was so nice. She smiles and giggles when she gets to crawl in the grass. She also LOVES to eat grass so mom and dad have to keep a close eye on her outside.

Emma did get her first ever fever tonight. The babysitter said that she had a bit of diarrhea today and that she hasn't been eating as well. She had diarrhea once over the weekend and also vomited once over the weekend. She hasn't acted sick at all and is her normal self crawling around and smiling and laughing. I thought she might be teething. However, when she got home tonight she felt really warm. Her temp was 100.4. We gave her some children's tylenol and the fever went away in an hour and she went to bed. I am going to have to check it in the morning. Hopefully it will be ok - it is so hard when she can't talk and tell me what is wrong. I wish I could kiss and hug her and make it all better!!! She is looking forward to the weekend when her Nana and Papa Davis are coming into town for a week to visit.
