For The Love Of Princesses

Have I mentioned before how much Emma loves princesses?  I am convinced that she was genetically programmed to love all things involving princesses.  I don't really ever remember pushing them on her, or buying her tons of princess things, before she truly fell in love on her own.  Her days consist of dressing up in her dress up clothes, dress up high heels, her crown, wand and jewelry and pretending to be a "pretty princess."  In her mind all of the princesses live at "The Castle" at Disney.  And she dreams - oh how she dreams - to be able to meet all of them one day.

This morning out of the blue she said to me, "Mom, I have a plan.  Do you want to hear my plan?"  Of course I said "Absolutely, tell me your plan."  I about died when she followed with, "We need to go visit the castle on Halloween, mom.  That way I can wear my princess dress when I go to meet the princesses in person."  I just replied with, "Well Emma the castle is a long, long way from home.  Maybe we can go next Halloween."

Our sweet little Emma doesn't know but her very near future will consist of going to the very place where dreams come true.  A place where she can meet every single princess AND wear her dress while meeting them.  It is all a surprise for her and this momma cannot wait to see her reaction when she finds out.  I am oh so happy that we have decided to go while everything is so magical for her!

Until then, here is a video of her opening a present from Grandma and Grandpa.  It is the beloved Cinderella DVD that recently came out of the vault.  She saw the commercial for the movie being released and wanted to immediately go to the store and buy it with her own money.  I had to hold her off knowing that it was already in the mail.  I love how she hugs it and proclaims that it was on her birthday list - which isn't until May!!
