My mom came into town for the weekend to help watch Emma while Jay and I went house hunting. That was extremely helpful - I can't imagine lugging her in and out of the car at every house we saw. Jay and I couldn't believe the lack of housing options in Katy. There is one main community that is very sought after for schools and the best for resale, which is why we chose it. It is called Cinco Ranch and is the second fastest selling neighborhood in the nation. We literally found one house on the first day that was OK and one on the second morning that we liked. By lunch on the second day we called back for a second showing and it had already sold!! We ended up buying a new construction that was just finished. It is a beautiful two story home on a postage stamp lot. (We definately have to get used to that after having our awesome golf course lot in Beaumont.) I have a few pictures posted below.
Emma has been doing good. She loves to climb on anything and everything. She has also started saying "no" all the time. She doesn't exactly say it in the right context. For example, I could say "Emma, do you want some ice cream?" She would yell emphatically "NO!" However, grandma asked her if she wanted liver and when she yelled "no" it was right on!! It is hard to believe that she will be 2 years old in just a couple months! I haven't taken very many pictures lately. I will try to do better with the pictures now that I am feeling a bit better.
