This has been the main reason for my delay in blog posting (for those of you who keep track!) I have not been feeling good at all. I have been again blessed with all day nausea and extreme fatigue - much like with my pregnancy with Emma. I am trying to take one day at a time and am praying that for some reason it won't last 16 weeks like it did with Emma, but maybe 12 or 13 instead. My doctor is a bit concerned because I have lost 6lb so I do have to go back for a weekly weigh in next week. She has me on three different nausea meds now, and just added Zofran (which is mostly used for chemo patients) and I think it has helped a bit.
Jay has been in running for husband of the year. He has been helping me out around the house, has started taking Emma to daycare in the mornings so that I have more time to pull myself together, and has been running a lot of errands. Also, last weekend he had meetings scheduled in Fairfax, VA from Thursday through Saturday and he was concerned of how crummy I was feeling and how I would manage taking care of Emma all by myself. He decided to completely surprise me and fly my best friend Aimee and her 14 mo old son Ben in from Milwaukee to help me out. He literally said he had to work late Tuesday night and when he got home he came and got me out of bed and said he had to show me something. There they were standing in my kitchen!! I just couldn't believe it. It really lifted my spirits having my friend here, not to mention the fact that she cooked and cleaned for me too! It was no nice to have some real meals ( I haven't had the energy to cook at all lately.) Ben and Emma got along great and had a great time playing with each other. It was very sad to see them go on Sunday. Ironically, Jay's meetings ended up getting cancelled due to all of the bad weather the east coast got!
Jay and Emma and I are just relaxing for Valentine's day. Hope everyone has a happy day! Enjoy the pics - they are a conglomeration of pictures that I have taken since Christmas.
The pretty Edible Arrangement that my mom and dad got us for V-day!

Just chillin on the wagon ride!
Aimee reading to the kids - Emma LOVES Aunt Aimee and followed her all around the house the entire time she was here!
Two cuties!
I noticed that Emma's wallpaper had started to come away from the wall just a tiny bit. I tried to glue it back and thought it would be OK. About a week later after a nap this is what I found - turns out Emma had been pulling it away from the wall and this time decided to rip a huge piece off from the wall!!! I was soooo mad at her. The crib is now in the center of the room!
OMG Emma is getting to be such a little girl!!! I love her "jumping"!! And that little Ben is going to be a heartbreaker!! Looks like you guys had fun while the gang was helping you out. Glad to hear the meds are helping a little bit! Naturally, Seth and I LOVE looking at new pics of Emma!
ReplyDeleteI'm totally cracking up about the wallpaper! That is hysterical!
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that you have been sick. I hope that the nausea subsides for you soon. Being pregnant with a little one to care for is no walk in the park.
Congrats!!! I am so happy for you guys. I am sorry to hear that you are feeling so poor, but as Emma shows you every day, it is all worth it. Oh, I wish we could get together with the girls. Emma is so adorable. The peeling of the wallpaper made me giggle. I love all of Emma's outfits too. She always looks so cute! Take care of yourself.
